Services

Four kinds of labour.

Scaffold labour

Erect, alter and dismantle under the host's scaffolding certificate of competence holder. Wrap and containment on scaffolds. MEWP operation on the host's scissor lift or boom.

Shrinkwrapping

Industrial and commercial encapsulation, containment, weather protection and temporary roofs. Apex provides its own LPG and heat guns, and can complete the hot work as a permit receiver. The host issues the permit.

Height and MEWP

Harness, temporary proprietary height-safety systems, and pre-use checks of Apex's own gear. Scissor lift and self-propelled boom only.

Height-access support

Harness, MEWP, wrap and material handling for other trades. Always under the host's licensed or certified people.

PCBU split

Both are PCBUs. Neither is the primary.

Apex and the host both have duties under the Health and Safety at Work Act 2015. Duties overlap. They consult, cooperate and coordinate.

Host

Induction, site hazards, and the safety plan before start. Day-to-day supervision and method. Scaffolding certificate of competence holder. Host plant. Either party stops unsafe work.

Apex

Current tickets, fitness and PPE check before every placement. Check the site is safe before placing someone. Check in during the job. Incident follow-up and records. PPE: Workers may use their own PPE if they choose, provided it meets the required standard and passes Apex's pre-start check (harnesses in date and inspected). Apex supplies any PPE a worker doesn't have, at no cost to the worker.

Hard limits

If the ticket is not held, the job is declined.

No scaffold supervision, inspection, sign-off or handover. No industrial rope access. No licensed asbestos removal or friable work. No electrical work, solar connection, or connection of illuminated signs.

No dogging, rigging, slinging or directing crane loads. No truck-mounted, trailer-mounted or vertical-lift EWPs. No confined-space entry. No telco pole or tower climbing. No design or certification of anchors, static lines, edge protection or nets.
